Our Story The Ontrac company traces its roots back to Hartmann & Braun where our story started. A successful actuation company, they were acquired by Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) in 1999. The following year ABB launched both the Contrac and Ontrac product ranges. In 2011 ABB Automation Product GmBH completed the transfer of its Ontrac advanced technology actuator product line to Ontrac, a now independent company. Ontrac has now grown to become an international supplier of a range of high specification electric actuators. The Ontrac product range has an unrivalled feature set suitable for applications across the whole market. |

Main Components
Robust housing made of cast iron, optionally spheroidal graphite iron Roller bearing supported worm shaft made of alloyed casehardening steel Worm wheel made of special bronze alloy
Technical Features
Optionally for direct installation or for foot and lever
Self locking gearing
Limiter for operating angle
Mechanical position indicator
Output via lock bush
For Ontrac multi-turn actuators MME 800 (data sheet 10/78-1.02 EN)
Application
The worm gearing is used to increase the output torque and to reduce the output speed. It is preferably used for final control elements which require a pure swiveling movement such as flaps, cocks, etc. Additional spur wheel gears or planet gears, mounted between actuator and worm gearing, can increase the transmission ratio. Various output types such as bore with key groove, double- or multi groove profile are available for direct installation or installation with foot and lever. These options guarantees an easy adaptation to various valve types.

Main Components
- Robust, entirely encapsulated unit
- Input flange acc. to ISO 5210 or DIN 3210
- Fastening via flange acc. to DIN 3358; optionally foot mounted
Technical Features
- Protection class IP 67
- Suitable for adaptation to Ontrac Multitrac actuators type
- MOE 700 for on-off operation
- MME 800 for modulating control
- Spur gears
- Bevel gears
Application
- Linear units L 12.1 … L 70.1 are used with Ontrac Multitrac
- MOE … or Ontrac MME … for control elements, which require a linear movement.
- These units convert the actuators input torque into a axial force.

Multitrac Options
The Multitrac actuators can come equipped with a variety of common options and individual options tailored for each Actuator:
Split-head Actuators allow the electronic control unit to be mounted separately from the actuator. This ensures better thermostability and vibration resistance as well as a smaller valve top installation.
Two cables are required to connect the actuator and the control unit with a maximum distance of 10m between them.
- All Ontrac actuators are designed and built to be used in harsh environments
- All our actuators come as standard with Ingress Protection (IP) rating to IP67 but this
- can beincreased to IP68 as an option
- Atex Explosion-Proof rating of Exd IIC T4 Gb is also available as an option
- IP68 / Explosion-Proof
